Caffe Bene Cafe, Fika Swedish Cafe and Bistro, and Ilight Festival ((:

It has been quite a hectic and busy month for me this year. Balancing my time with work, training and time spent with Family and friends even though it is school holidays right now and I only spent my time in Singapore. Finally a rest day tomorrow for me, its been so long. Time pass so fast and school starting in 2 weeks time.

So basically, i just wanted to update my blog about some of the cafes i visited with my friends or family this March.

On the 14th March, right after we spent the whole afternoon in Adventure Cove Waterpark, we were all famished and decided to have out dinner at Bagus in Harbourfront Centre and our dessert at Caffe bene in Vivo City.

Caffe Bene are quite popular in Korea for their coffee and now it has open in Singapore. We tried out their Honey Bread: Caramel Cinnamon Bread ($12.90), Cookies and Cream Bingsu (Single scoop: $14.90 , Double scoop: $19.90), Cheese Nuts Waffle ($9.90) and Gelato Waffle ($9.90).

It is a comfortable place to chill at, adding up with a warmth environment.

I really love their Caramel Cinnamon Bread, it was really satisfying.(: Since nowadays, Bingsu has been quite a trend in Singapore, you can find it anywhere. But this was the first time i tried the bingsu, where red beans are filled up at the bottom of the jar. Reminds me of Ice Kacang haha. As for the gelato waffle, you can pick any of the ice cream flavours according to your choice.

As you guys know, there has been Ilight Festival happening at Marina Bay this March and from what i know, last Sunday was the last day. Last Sunday, my cousins and I decided to visit there. It was actually my second time there as my first time i didn't get to explore more.

On that day, we decided to have our lunch at Fika Swedish Cafe and Bistro before watching a movie called Batman vs Superman and then, head to Marina for the Ilight Festival.

Fika Swedish Cafe and Bistro are popular with their Swedish Meatballs. So we tried their Swedish Meatballs, which is made up of Meatballs, parsley potatoes, cream sauce, lingonberry jam and a small side salad ($19.90), Macaroni Stew with Sausages, it is creamy milk-stewed macaroni with sausages, served with cherry tomatoes, fresh parsley and tomato ketchup ($17.90), Fisherman Pasta, which is made up of Linguine pasta, mussels, white fish, squid and prawn served with lemon butter sauce and topped with fresh rocket leaves and cherry tomatoes ($25.90), and a side dish of Oven-Baked Cheesy Potato Wedges ($9.90).

The food was really good and a good place for vegetarian too, However, some food was kinda pricey, but it was worth it. The place was classy but relaxed indeed, My cousins and I even get a voucher from them, how nice of them, I don't mind coming here again. hehe

Here's the locations:

9 Raffles Boulevard, #01-02, Millenia Walk

11 Tanjong Katong Rd, #02-K3, OneKM

For more info, you can visit their website here.

After we watched the movie, we straight away rush to Marina. The lights here are so cool, the way it was design and how some of it functions. Here are some of the pictures taken, sadly didn't take all though because I was having too much fun haha.

They even had small booths here, selling some of the food sold in PasarBella, Some performances were even held. It was such a comfortable and nice environment to sit and enjoy the food, as the place was held beside the Singapore River, adding on with a beautiful scenery.

Have you heard of the Ilight Art Market by Megafash? This place is very cool though. From what i heard, during the Ilight Festival, they change every weekend in March, introducing us to different kinds of food, clothes and other stuffs.

So the carnival are somehow the main attraction for the teenagers like us. Didn't get to ride the rides here, due to the long queue since it's weekend. Anyway, there's always a next time. (:

Ending my blog here, till we meet again.

xoxo
